Voluntary Recall for Laars Mini-Therm JX and Bradford White Brute Mini Boilers, models JX050, JX075, BJX050, and BJX075 built from January 28, 2021 to January 12, 2022
Laars Heating Systems Company is conducting a voluntary product recall to repair certain Laars branded Mini-Therm JX and Bradford White branded Brute Mini boilers. Laars recently discovered through testing, that a potential malfunction can cause the release of gases, including carbon monoxide (CO), posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Models affected include JX050, JX075, BJX050, and BJX075, manufactured between January 28, 2021 through January 6, 2022.
Laars has developed field repair kits to correct the issue and the repairs will be done at no cost to the consumer.
This is being done in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Please carefully read the following information to help you determine if your boiler is subject to this recall.

If a boiler is subject to the recall, due to the nature of the repair, Laars Heating Systems cannot send the repair kit directly to individual homeowners. This repair must be done by a qualified technician.
